FAQs

  • The aim of the Uptown Arts and Culture Coalition (UACC) is to promote community engagement and cultural enrichment in the Uptown Arts District through the arts.

  • Consider joining the Board. Apply for our Artist-in-Residence program. Subscribe to our mailing list to learn of artist opportunities throughout the year.

  • Contact the venue/business and state your idea. UACC can likely help make a connection with business leaders, as well as share funding opportunities and/or artist programs that might help in bringing your idea to life. Email info@uacc.art and we'll provide some guidance.

  • Outdoor activiations in public spaces such as Counterbalance Park would need to be coordinated through Seattle Parks and Recreation, and will require a permit. We have experience doing this, so let us know your idea and we can help guide you. Events lcoated within galleries, restaurants, arts orgs or other bsuinesses would need to be coordinated with that space. UACC can help connect you to business leaders.

  • UACC supports the Uptown Art Walk through additional marketing and awareness efforts, and by occasionally creating programs and experiences that occurr during the Art Walk, including outdoor performances and film screenings at Counterbalance Park and in neighborhood businesses and galleries.

  • Interested prospective board members should represent an arts and cultural organization in the Uptown neighborhood, or be an artist that lives and/or works in Uptown and is dedicated to advancing opportunities for artists. Please email info@uacc.art with your interest in joining the board, and we'll get back to you.
