The UACC Programming & Events Committee is responsible for curating and coordinating a diverse range of cultural programs, events, and activities within the Uptown Arts District, such as Artists at the Center, the Uptown Art Walk and other live activations that promote cultural and creative arts.

Artists at the Center
Artists At the Center is a dynamic collaboration between the Seattle Office of Arts & Culture, Seattle Center, and the Uptown Arts & Culture Coalition, generously supported by Climate Pledge Arena and Seattle Kraken. Through this 10-year grant, the general public is able experience pop-up performances year-round, showcasing diverse talents in music, dance, theater, demonstrations, and more by emerging and established artists with a storng committement to representation and equity.
Artist in Residence: 2024
The Uptown Arts & Culture Coalition (UACC) is dedicated to nurturing and supporting emerging arts leaders through our Artist in Residence program in Uptown, Seattle.
The Artist in Residence initiative provides early career artists with invaluable and unique opportunities to engage in board leadership (with UACC and partners), spearhead public art projects, and foster community involvement.
All artwork and brand guidelines above and for the Uptown Arts District, UACC, and Uptown Alliance have been created by Seattle Sims. Above is an example of the Uptown Arts District street banners.
Uptown Storefronts
The Uptown Arts & Culture Coalition (UACC) partnered with Shunpike to match vacant, occupied storefronts and/or commercial businesses in the Uptown Arts District neighborhood with pop-up art installations and performance activations from December 2022 through January 2024. The Uptown Storefronts program aimed to benefit the district, small businesses, artists and property owners by creating vibrant and engaging streetscapes that encourage the public to visit Uptown to offer diverse traffic and awareness.
Uptown Art Walk
Step into Uptown Arts District’s world of creativity with the Uptown Art Walk, held on the third Thursday of every month. This is an artist-facilitated monthly program that invites the public to experience local multidisciplinary art in galleries, studios, and pop-up exhibits, local businesses and more.
Beautification Program
UACC and Uptown Alliance have partnered to lead the Beautification Committee to enhance a public spaces with visual art, including murals, utility box transformations, and streetscape enhancements throughout the Uptown Arts District. Through our efforts, we aim to enrich the streets with visual sustenance and beauty, fostering a vibrant and culturally rich environment for all to enjoy while also highlighting the diversity within Seattle’s visual artist community.
